(she/her/hers)
I have worked in community mental health and private practice settings, providing counselling and therapy to diverse populations in the Greater Toronto Area, Guelph, Bolton and Brampton.
In between completing my MA in counselling psychology, I worked with many different groups and life stages, including helping women refugees with cultural adjustment in Berlin, providing employment counselling to youth and new immigrants to Toronto, and empowering girls as a drum instructor at Toronto Girls Rock Camp.
I have experience supporting both individuals and couples with various challenges related to sexuality, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, OCD, PTSD, intergenerational trauma, hoarding and unexpected DNA discoveries. I work to meet my clients where they are, acknowledging and validating existing and past challenges, while collaboratively supporting alternate stories and new realities. I work from a client-centred, trauma-informed lens, integrating elements of narrative therapy, compassion-based therapy, CBT, solution-focussed therapy, psychodynamic, DBT and EFT to help clients uncover their unique strengths and resilience. Embracing a variety of approaches and modalities provides an opportunity to serve my clients’ unique strengths and goals.
I also have varying degrees of fluency in Hebrew, German and French
I offer phone and secure video conferencing sessions and, by arrangement, in-person sessions. If you’d like to set up a free 20-minute phone consultation to see if we are a good fit, please email me at adrianpasentherapy@gmail.com. My fees are as follows:
