ABOUT ME
(She/Her Pronouns)
Chelsea’s practice is currently full. For a referral to another Healing Collective therapist with availability, please email info@healingcollective.ca.
I have a passion for working with people wanting to move towards more connected, authentic, and meaningful lives. My collaborative and non-judgmental approach supports individuals feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or powerless to identify their unique goals and build upon their own inner strengths and resources. I strive to provide an atmosphere where you feel welcomed, heard, and valued in each session; clients have described my approach as warm, compassionate and authentic.
I have clinical experience working in both private and non-profit environments, in particular working with individuals in post-secondary environments, dealing with difficult life transitions, feeling stuck or overwhelmed, or living with anxiety and depression.
Therapy is not one size fits all. I work within a client-centered framework, which means I aim to meet you wherever you are at and move at a pace set by you. To address your unique needs and goals I draw from several therapeutic frameworks, and my approach is informed by feminist, anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, queer and trans affirming perspectives.
I have a BA from Concordia University in Human Relations, an HBSW from Lakehead University and my MSW from Wilfrid Laurier as well as numerous additional professional trainings. I am a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. My area of particular interest lies in third wave mindfulness based therapies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT).
