(She/Her Pronouns)
I have a passion for working with people wanting to move towards more connected, authentic, and meaningful lives. My collaborative and non-judgmental approach supports individuals feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or powerless to identify their unique goals and build upon their own inner strengths and resources. I strive to provide an atmosphere where you feel welcomed, heard, and valued in each session; clients have described my approach as warm, compassionate and authentic.
I have clinical experience working in both private and non-profit environments, in particular working with adults dealing with difficult life transitions, feeling stuck or overwhelmed, or living with anxiety and depression.
Therapy is not one size fits all. I work within a client-centered framework, which means I aim to meet you wherever you are at and move at a pace set by you. To address your unique needs and goals I draw from several therapeutic frameworks, and my approach is informed by feminist, anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, queer and trans affirming perspectives.
I have a BA from Concordia University in Human Relations, an HBSW from Lakehead University, an MSW from Wilfrid Laurier and numerous additional professional trainings. I am a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. My work is grounded in third wave mindfulness based therapies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). I am currently pursuing additional training in Internal Family Systems and somatic therapies that provides the option to use “more than just talk therapy” in sessions.
