I believe that it takes a large dose of courage and wisdom to seek help.
As a psychotherapist, I understand also what it is like to be tender and in need of guidance. My approach centres around empowering new clients to discover who they are, what they want, and the choosing the best strategies to move forward in the most meaningful and fulfilling ways.
Over the years, it seems that my playful, practical and hands-on approach resonates with families with complex lives, boys and men, and the women who love and struggle with the later! I also work with helping professionals who are newer in the field. And, I am also keenly aware that the goodness of fit in therapy is primary. That is why I offer a free consultation to assess that together and I track each session with my clients to measure if change is likely happening or not.
To understand better my approach, my experience in Mindfulness, theatre, and martial arts, informs the process of therapy in that clients often request that I teach them concrete life skills many of us were missing in life — like how to steer your own focus and prioritize, riding out big emotions, expressing ourselves more authentically (with power and love) and evolving our conflict styles. That said, every person’s journey is unique so we tailor the treatment process to where they are at.
Lastly, it’s important to note that my life centres around being a proud father, a lucky husband and someone who is fortunate to be graced with incredible mentors and friends. You can learn more about my credentials, policies and set up a consultation at: www.integritytherapy.org
