(She/Her Pronouns)
Hello and welcome to the next step on your life journey. Your search for help is the first step to make changes and live a more satisfying life. Maybe you are struggling with increased anxiety, feeling depressed, or you are not able to function as well as you would like.
I would be honoured to walk with you to help you meet your goals. I am a psychotherapist and art therapist with over 5 years of experience providing therapy to individuals, children, adolescents and adults through social service agencies supporting women and families who have experienced violence, as well as private practice. I use a combination of counseling modalities including art therapy, body-aware psychotherapy, and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy in a psychodynamic approach. I use art and expressive methods to see issues in a new way, and encourage creative activities as a coping strategy. We work together to identify your goals and strengths, and build understanding of issues and increased coping strategies.
I specialize in the following areas:
- Childhood trauma
- Anxiety & depression
- Interpersonal abuse and violence, child sexual abuse, sexual assault, human trafficking
- Post-traumatic stress disorder
- Self-esteem
- Relationships
- Disassociation & Dissociative identity disorder
- Personality disorders
- Guilt and shame
- Grief & loss
- Spirituality
I understand that life is a mixture of successes and difficulties. I specialize in being patient, compassionate and validating. Verbal and non-verbal expression of emotions, issues and stressors can bring solutions and wholeness – physically, emotionally and spiritually to people’s life.
When I am not at the healing collective, I provide programming and consultation to social service agencies, including Jewish Immigrant Aid Society and iRise, as well as quilting services. I have a personal belief and dedication to social justice issues and art practices, especially around women, refugees, and immigrants, and donating time and energy to these causes.
For pleasure, I spend time in nature and for walks with my dog Sadie. I am a creative spirit, and I enjoy quilting, drawing Zentangles, and reading.
I offer free 20 minute consultations. I am currently offering sessions via secure video conferencing during a variety of days and times. Please speak to me regarding in-person sessions. For more information, contact me at info@bloominglife.ca or 416 312-1636.
