(She/Her Pronouns)

My name is Emily Ameara Mclennan and I am a psychotherapist. I have always been called a mirror, as I am able to reflect who you are, back at you so you can truly see yourself in a different light. My practice is about empathy, compassion and understanding that your reality is real to you. I meet you where you are, and we work together to give you the tools, and support you need so you can be where you want to be in life. I show all my clients respect no matter their mental state. I practice from a trauma informed, anti-racist, anti-oppressive, equity-based lens.

I create a collaborative therapy practice, where I guide and support you, to reclaim your agency towards mental wellness and healing. This isn’t a power over relationship, you are in control of who you are the whole way down the road, I just help you get there.

How I help you get there: by using talk therapy, journaling, meditations, mindfulness exercises, art activities etc. Anything that helps you get what you’re feeling and thinking out into the world where we can see it and acknowledge it and work with it.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist, with the College of Psychotherapy, with a Graduate certification in Art Therapy from the Toronto Art Therapy Institute. I have worked in mental health for 10 years, in many environments and am here to help anyone willing to help themselves.

I am available Fridays from 4-9 pm,  Saturdays from 10-5 pm and on Sunday between 10 -2pm. At present, I am only available for phone and video sessions. My rate is $140/hr, and I have a limited amount of sliding scale spaces available.
