About Me

(She/Her Pronouns)

Welcome to The Healing Collective! Whether this is your first time seeking therapy or you’ve tried it before, I hope you find something that speaks to you and get some of your questions answered within this space.

I am a Registered Social Worker with over 10 years of experience providing psychotherapy to individuals & couples. My practice is rooted in a deep commitment to social justice, solidarity and the act of witnessing. It is important to me that you feel safe and in control of our counselling sessions. I offer a non-judgmental environment and will check in with you to ensure that you are getting what you need from the counselling experience. My approach draws on a number of counselling modalities, including Cognitive and Dialetical Behaviour Therapies (CBT/DBT), Narrative Therapy, Compassion-focused Therapy, and Mindfulness.

I specialize in:

  • Anxiety & Depression
  • Feeling Stuck
  • Interpersonal Relationships & Interpersonal Conflict
  • Attachment
  • Hearing Voices or Having Unusual Beliefs
  • Suicide
  • Workplace Stress
  • Workplace Trauma
  • Life Transitions
  • Substance Use
  • Self-Esteem & Self-Worth
  • Isolation & Longing for Connection

When I am not at The Healing Collective, I provide counselling through the Poul Hansen Family Centre for Depression at Toronto Western Hospital and teach in the School of Community Services at Seneca College. I am also a trained Clinical Supervisor and provide clinical supervision to social workers and psychotherapists – please email me if you want to find out more!

My rate is $160 for individuals and couples and I offer free 20-minute phone consultations. I am currently offering sessions via secure video conferencing and am open to discussing in-person sessions based on need. You can reach me at jamiellemen@gmail.com. I look forward to connecting with you!
