I am a registered clinical and school psychologist who supports children, adolescents, and adults providing assessment, diagnosis and treatment services. I work collaboratively with clients and their families to address mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, OCD, relational/attachment issues, emotion dysregulation, trauma and other difficulties. Together with clients, we set individualized goals, which may include increasing one’s understanding of any presenting issues, identifying and boosting resilience and coping, or managing big emotions. I employ client-centred and evidence-based methods, and typically work within Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and emotion-focused frameworks. I am also trained in attachment-based and play-based approaches.
I completed my Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Clinical Psychology (Queen’s University), as well as a B.A.Sc. in Arts and Science and Psychology (McMaster University). I have previously trained at the North York General Hospital, Family Psychology Centre (formerly Kindercare Psychology) and Toronto District School Board. My Ph.D. research explored genetic and environmental influences on depression across the lifespan. In my spare time, I enjoy taking my kids to the park or on the bike, reading, crocheting and reality TV.
I am available at Healing Collective by appointment.
