About me

(She/Her Pronouns)

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and hold a master’s level diploma in Spiritual Psychotherapy.  I am a member in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).

I worked in the Corporate world for over 20 years in the Human Resources field.  In my late 40’s I made a decision to study Psychotherapy.  I’m not going to lie, it was scary but it also felt very right.  I am a big believer in following our hearts and instincts – also that at some level we all ‘know’ our true paths.  My new career as a therapist is a perfect marrying of my HR career (connecting with people by listening & building relationships based on trust and respect) & my long-held interest in holistic mental health (more on my website link below).  I am also proof that career changes are possible at any age.

I was born in Ireland & immigrated to Toronto in my 20’s.  I am a proud Mum through fertility treatment, a bereaved Mum (2nd trimester loss) and a Mum through adoption. My family has lived along the Danforth for over 20 years.

My approach

My personal style as a therapist is one of heart centered warmth, compassion, kindness & a gentle humor.  I hold a space for my Clients to always be heard, validated & supported. I use a Client centered approach as a therapist which to me means we will work on what you want, when you want, these are your sessions.  Together we will explore your personal beliefs, emotional patterns or behaviors that are not working for you.  We will work collaboratively to introduce new skills and tools that will aid you in life.  A life where you feel more in control and fulfilled, where you will not only survive, but thrive.

As a therapist it is an honor for me to connect and build relationships with my clients. Seeing a therapist takes commitment and courage, to witness my client’s hard work and commitment is for me, a gift.

I specialize in:

  • Infertility
  • Pregnancy loss (1st, 2nd, 3rd trimester, infant loss and medical termination)
  • Adoption
  • Life transitions
  • Stress/anxiety/burnout
  • Grief work
  • Workplace stress & anxiety
  • Relocating (to a new city or country)

I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to potential clients.  Feeling at ease and comfortable with your therapist is a large predictor of success in the therapist/client relationship.
