Ninat Friedland, Registered Psychotherapist, Art Therapist

(she/her pronouns)

Welcome! I’m glad you found us here at the collective.  Whether you are looking for personal growth or a safe space to explore difficult issues, I can support you in learning more about yourself, uncovering your strengths and fostering resilience.  I take a trauma-informed and collaborative approach, working together with you to find solutions to life’s challenges with empathy and compassion.

I am a registered psychotherapist with over ten years of experience in community and clinical mental health. I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology and fine arts from York University, and a master’s degree in art therapy from Concordia University, with additional training in couple and family therapy from the University of Guelph.  My approach blends my training in art therapy, mindfulness, narrative therapy, CBT & DBT, and somatic approaches. I see individuals, couples and families from all walks and ages of life.

As a busy parent of two, and a neurodiverse member of the queer community, I would love to hold space for you to explore everything from identity and relationship issues to work-life balance, self-care, creativity and empowerment.  Outside of work, you’ll find me combing the beach for natural art supplies, paddling, doing yoga and working with clay.

I specialize in:

  • ADHD
  • Depression
  • Eating disorders
  • Grief and loss
  • Infertility
  • Parenting support
  • Perinatal health
  • Stress and anxiety
  • Trauma and PTSD
  • Workplace stress and burnout

I am currently accepting in-person clients on Tuesdays at the collective, and virtual (phone or video) appointments on Thursdays and Fridays.  Please contact me here for a free 20 min phone consultation to see if we would be a good fit for each other, or book online at:

$150  for individual sessions and $200 for couples and families (inclusive of HST).  I have limited sliding scale spots prioritizing QTBIPOC folks.  Thank you for reaching out.
