Are you struggling with your routine or with completing daily tasks? I am passionate about helping clients develop practical coping skills, such as time management, prioritizing, and organization.
Perhaps you are looking for support because you are experiencing stress, dealing with anxious thoughts, or are struggling with intense emotions. Together we can identify strategies and skills for building mindfulness and regulating your emotions.
My approach varies depending on the client, and can range from action oriented (problem solving, developing coping strategies and life skills) to insight building (exploring emotions, processing life experiences). I provide a collaborative and warm therapeutic environment which will help us build a strong relationship to support you in meeting your goals.
Areas of Specialty:
– Stress Management
– Working through complex emotions, such as shame
– Parenting and Relationship Issues
I completed an undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Waterloo and a Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto. I have additional training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), and in providing postnatal support to parents.
When I am not seeing clients at The Healing Collective, I work at a university health centre with art and design students. In my spare time, I enjoy going to the park with my kiddos, going on aimless walks with my dog, and reading.
