(She/Her Pronouns)

Raising children can be one of life’s greatest challenges and it can be helpful to get support along the way. Perhaps you would like your children to gain strategies to better manage worries or anger. Maybe you would like to improve your relationship or better understand yourself in order to put your best parenting face forward.

I’m a registered social worker ready to support you on this journey. I specialize in parent counseling, and family and individual therapy with children of all ages (infant and preschool, children, and teenagers). My clients seek support around parent-child relationships, family communication, behaviour management, emotion regulation, parenting strategies, anxiety, depression and more. My practice is collaborative and all are welcome.

I use a number of therapeutic approaches to help my clients meet their goals. This includes understanding the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, and developing strategies to manage strong emotions (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy). I help my clients explore the stories they tell about themselves and identify and follow their chosen path (Narrative and Solution Focused Therapy). Sometimes this work includes understanding and processing where we have come from and how this impacts us in our day to day life (Attachment and Emotion Focused Therapies). I am also trained in mindfulness informed play therapies intended to strengthen parent-child relationships.

Outside of private practice, I work as a School Social Worker at the Toronto District School Board and previously held the position of Child and Family Therapist at SickKids Centre for Community Mental Health. In my free time I love to play outside with my daughter, read and discuss books, crochet, and wish I was better at doing yoga regularly.
