Hi there. I’m Tristan I’m a Registered Psychotherapist and the founder of Life Transitions Therapy.
I’m on a mission to help high-functioning professionals struggling with anxiety, childhood trauma, and self-esteem issues to ditch the inner critic and reclaim the life they’ve always wanted.

My passion is informed by my lived experience as a trauma survivor, former lawyer, descendent of immigrants, Buddhist meditation teacher, and spiritual care practitioner.
I know first hand the struggles of finding a space to heal. I started my career as a lawyer, working in private practice and later for non-profits. But truthfully, I felt stuck. I went to law school wanting to help others, yet could barely help myself. From the outside, it looked like I had my sh*t together, but on the inside everything was falling apart.
Experiencing my own burnout taught me what wasn’t working. It also became the spark that started my journey of trauma healing. Giving up a successful career in law to become a trauma-informed therapist was more than a career change. It was a calling to my own personal healing, and a life of service. Making it to the other side has taught me what worked and what doesn’t in my own journey of healing.
Now I have the privilege of helping you find what works for you. I don’t believe in band-aid solutions or quick fixes. I focus on helping you uproot the underlying causes of that stuck feeling you keep having.
My approach to therapy integrates relational psychodynamics, somatic trauma therapy, and spiritual counselling to help heal the root causes of shame, anxiety, and burnout. This can include:
- Traditional talk therapy
- Body work, movement, and nervous system regulation
- Dream analysis
- Guided meditation
- Grief counselling and ritual formation
