Reaching out for support is a courageous and admirable step; it’s essential to find a therapist who’s a good fit for you. I support individuals who struggle with the daunting task of “figuring it all out”. I’m prepared to walk you through difficult emotions, challenge you, and celebrate your personal and professional growth. We’ll be a good fit if you are motivated, self-reflective, and ready to get to work with the help of a skilled, non-judgmental, compassionate therapist.
I was born in Hong Kong, and immigrated to Canada when I was 12. This experience was a challenging one, and in many ways has shaped my life, and informs my practice. I enjoy working with newcomers, and those looking to work with a therapist with first-hand experience of immigration and living as a racialized person.
The modalities that I’m trained in are: CBT, DBT, Mindfulness-Based, Trauma Informed, Self-Compassionate and Attachment-Based interventions. I specialize in:
- Caregiver Burnout
- Racialized Identity
Counselling can be provided in English and Cantonese (廣東話). I offer a complimentary 15-minute telephone/video consultation to answer any questions you might have about the process and to see if we might be a good fit together. Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 647-493-1557.
At present, due to Covid-19, my sessions are offered via phone or video. I have availability on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday.
I have a limited amount of sliding scale spaces available and my standard rate is $130 per session. I look forward to hearing from you.
