SUMMARY:Peaceful Parenting 101: What\, Why & How
DESCRIPTION:Peaceful parenting doesn’t mean the kids are in charge! Learn exactly what Peaceful Parenting is\, why it’s important and how to apply it. I’ll teach you how to set kind\, firm limits and get kids to cooperate using lots of empathy and support. Peaceful parenting is the best approach to raise resilient\, successful\, happy and emotionally intelligent kids.\nBring your questions and challenges to this interactive workshop. Space is limited. For parents of 2- 10 year olds.\n\nThis just in from the November Healing Collective workshop:\n“I can’t even begin to tell you what a huge impact your workshop had on me as a parent. Things with my two sons age 3 and 5 have dramatically improved. They aren’t perfect\, but I’ve noticed a huge improvement by shifting my own mindset and getting to know my own triggers.\nThe Monday after your workshop\, I used your tips to stay calm through the morning chaos\, stand my ground with the constant distractions of toy playing etc.\, when getting out the door in a calm way and we were actually 10 minutes early leaving. It felt great! Thank you so much!”\n-Emily\n\n\n“Your workshop has been life changing! We have incorporated so many strategies that you taught us. We still have our moments but nothing like what it was before. I had no idea peaceful parenting would work as well as it does. \nThank you again. \nYou honestly have given us strategies that make life and parenting fun again!”\n-Amanda\n \n\n“Thank you so very much for the workshop (and followup resources!)\nAlready I’m feeling like I understand where my kid is at and what my role can be so much better. It’s been not even 24 hours and already I can feel a (positive!) shift in my parenting. Thank you!!”\n-Lindsay\n\n“It has been work to incorporate the strategies into our life but we are so glad that we have started. We already see a difference in our daughter just from us changing our parenting approach. This workshop seriously has been life changing!!! SUMMARY:Intuition\, Insight\, & Intentions
DESCRIPTION:Workshop led by Diana Piruzevska from Neon Dreamer \n\n\n\n\nStarting a new year often means creating goals and resolutions for positive change — but how do we know we are making the right changes for us? In this workshop\, we will be learning how to more easily access our intuition and how use those insights to set strong intentions for the new year. \nUsually we base new year’s resolutions and goals on the external “shoulds” and “shouldn’ts” that bombard us daily and never consider if they are what we actually need to make positive change in our lives. The outcome is usually abandonment of unattainable goals and the annual feeling of failure that arrives around March. So\, what would happen if we put those shoulds aside and asked ourselves what we truly need to make positive change? \nIntuition\, Insight & Intentions is a two-part workshop designed to guide you through the process of accessing and exercising your latent intuition. The aim is to help you gain insight to your actions and motivations so that you can help create strong and grounded intentions for the new year. \nTopics covered will include: \n\n●  What is intuition?\n●  How to make space for insight by grounding and centering\n●  Asking useful questions and actually hearing the answers\n●  Differentiating between negative self-talk and insight\n●  What is the difference between resolutions\, goals\, and intentions?\n●  Discovering your desires and motivations\n●  Reframing punitive thinking\n●  Setting healthy intentions and taking actionSaturday January 19th\, 3-6pm — $40\nTo register:\nemail contact@neondreamer.com\nOR click here to use eventbrite!

SUMMARY:The Chakra Connection for Beginners
DESCRIPTION:The word Chakra comes from Sanskrit and means ‘wheel’ or ‘disk’\, it refers to spiritual energy centres that are situated in different areas of our body.  There are 7 main chakras located between the base of our spine all the way up to the crown of our head. When our Chakra’s are open and working well prana or lifeforce energy flows through our body and it helps us function optimally on a spiritual\, physical and emotional level.  \nThis class will assist us with: \n• feeling more connected with our body \n• increasing our energy and mental clarity \n• providing an optimum level of balance and relaxation for each of us \n• learning about blocked chakra energy caused by emotional trauma\, stress or unhealthy patterns in our lives \n  \nThrough guided meditations and discussion\, we will learn affirmations for each chakra\, what essential oils and crystals to use for each chakra\, what foods to eat to help these energy centres work at their optimum – resulting in a more authentic\, fulfilling life for YOU.  \nPrepare to come\, have fun\, relax and learn – bring yourself and your enquiring mind. \n  \nContact Mary Keogh for more details and to register.

SUMMARY:Grand Opening
DESCRIPTION:Come and join us for our inaugural event! The best part is – it’s all free! \nSpace is limited for workshops so please sign up using the links below. \n11:00am – Dance Movement Therapy Demo Group with Jessica\nThis experiential demonstration offers a glimpse into what a Dance Movement Therapy session might look like. We will try out some fun\, creative and expressive ways of moving\, and experiment with how we can speak with our bodies\, maybe even having a whole conversation without words. Come ready to move and express. All bodies are welcome!\nhttps://bit.ly/2Mp4xIx \n11:35 – Drumming & Land Acknowledgement with Emily\nThe Healing Collective acknowledges that it exists on the traditional and enduring territory of Indigenous peoples. Emily Blackmoon (Algonquin-Anishnaabe) will lead us in an acknowledge of the land\, and will provide traditional hand drumming songs to honour the strength and healing of Indigenous peoples on Turtle Island. \n12:00pm – Self Care\, More Than Just a Bubble Bath with Lisa\nSelf care often gets reduced down into “just take a bubble bath”. Let’s go beyond that! In this workshop we will explore different kinds of self care\, the benefits of self care and what stops us from taking care of ourselves. We will look at self care for the whole person\, mind body and spirit.\nhttps://bit.ly/2x9MSPp \n12:30 – Work/Life Balance Workshop with Mary\nBalance is not better time management\, but better boundary management. Balance means making choices and enjoying those choices.” – Betsy Jacobson\nLife is busy – and getting busier. The days of 9-5 jobs are long gone. With the increasing demands of the workplace and the increase in technology (cell phones\, email) people need to be ‘on’ for longer for work which has resulted in a marked increase in workplace stress/ anxiety and burnout and a decrease in work life balance. What is work/life balance? Why/how do we go off balance? How to recognize you are off balance. How to get back in balance – make yourself your own priority and self-care tips.\nhttps://bit.ly/2p3a9iq \n1:00 & 2:30 – Yoga for Resilience with Jenn\nConnect to the resilience you already possess! This trauma informed all-levels practice is centered around a mind-body experience that cultivates self-awareness and a more compassionate relationship with yourself and the world around you. These mini sessions will have you feeling more grounded\, centered and regulated. Come as you are. No mat required.\nhttps://bit.ly/2oZgviC \n1:30 & 3:00 – Self Regulation Stations with Jenn\nDiscover simple body based self-regulation techniques to improve your ability to stay strong\, calm and grounded even in the chaos. Walk away feeling more resourced\, focused and capable of taking on all the challenges that life throws your way. \n2:00-4:30 Free Mini Reiki Treatments with Cherokee\nTreat yourself to a mini reiki session. Perfect for anyone interested in getting a little taste of Reiki\, a form of energy healing.\nhttps://bit.ly/2OaUOqT \n2:00-4:30 Free Mini Tarot Readings with Neon Dreamer\nTarot should not simply used for “fortune telling” or future predicting. Tarot is more about uncovering the unconscious than revealing the future — delving deep rather than skipping ahead.\nNeon Dreamer uses her ability to go into your hidden depths\, uncovering parts of your unconscious mind\, clearing blockages and showing you what you may not be seeing within yourself.\nhttps://bit.ly/2p4eS3m \n2:00-4:00 – Therapist Meet and Greet\nCome and meet some of our clinicians\, ask questions about therapy\, and learn what we are all about! \n3:30 – Communication strategies for Couples with Henny & Greg\nWe are looking at barriers to communication\, what’s going on with communication when there is a connection\, what is active listening\, review of a model for effective communication\, practice exercise and debrief.\nhttps://bit.ly/2CN0aHx \n4:00 – Restorative Yoga Therapy with Joanna\nIn this session we use gentle yoga poses\, combined with mindfulness\, meditation and breath-work\, to bring a deep sense of relaxation and balance.\nhttps://bit.ly/2xgPzir \n
