About Me:

I am a creative person, and art influences my professional work. I have completed my bachelor and master of social work from Ryerson University, and I am registered with Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. I have over 15 years’ experience providing counselling services to individuals and families in a variety of settings. I feel privileged that people have allowed me to witness their lives in the midst of suffering and transformation; it’s a daily reminder of the courage which lives within all of us.

I use various counselling approaches, depending on the person’s needs. I am trained in the following modalities: cognitive processing therapy; mindfulness, EMDR; sensorimotor psychotherapy level 1; harm reduction; and anti-oppressive practices. My style is collaborate and creative, bringing the whole person (body, mind, and spirit) at the centre of any modality.

I specialize in:

• • • • •

  • Shame and Guilt
  • Post Traumatic Slave
  • Syndrome All forms of Trauma
  • Caribbean family & structural systems
  • Anti-Black Racism-Anti-Racism & AOP

I am available at the Healing Collective: Saturday 10am-4pm.

I offer free 20 minute phone consultations. I charge $150 per 50 minute session, and I also provide limited sliding scale for clients who may not have insurance and cannot afford full fee therapy.
