(She/Her Pronouns)

Welcome to The Healing Collective! Are you seeking to make changes in your life to achieve your goals and create a lifestyle that supports your personal aspirations and mental health? Are you looking for a therapist to support you along your journey? I am a therapist that has devoted my private practice to supporting racialized folks, students and individuals living with invisible disabilities. I am passionate about helping individuals no matter what label they live with or the social class they identify with, applying an anti-oppressive framework to enhance one’s self-worth and quality of life. It is important for me to advocate for social justice, develop collaborative plans, promote equity, and support individuals that are experiencing conflict within the criminal justice system or face systemic barriers due to colonial practices. Together we can determine the right therapeutic approaches to achieve your goals and guide you in the direction of your choice.

I see children, youth, adults and couples.

My approach is client-centred, trauma-informed, non-judgmental, collaborative, strengths-based, and goal-oriented. I utilize cognitive-behavioural-based interventions, incorporating various modalities such as Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Task Focus Therapy, System Therapy, Mindfulness, etc. It is essential for us to develop rapport, a sense of connection, and foster a space where you feel comfortable sharing.

My areas of focus:

  • Invisible Intellectual Disabilities
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Rejection
  • Stress Management
  • Low Self-Esteem
  • Isolation

My experiences working as a counsellor began in 2003. I have a Masters in Social Work and Diploma in Child and Youth Care. Currently, I work within the social service field offering counselling support to individuals impacted by systemic mental health barriers and difficulties navigating within an ableist society. I enjoy physical activity, cycling, swimming, yoga, travelling, and spending time with friends and family outside of my career.

I offer virtual, in person, and Nature Walk & Talk Therapy Sessions. Please contact me for further details.

I am available on Monday-Friday evenings and offer a free 20-minute phone consultation. My rates are $150 for individuals, $180 for couples and families, and $160 for children and youths. I have a limited number of sliding scale spots available. Please contact me for more information through email at triciag79@gmail.com or by phone at 416-829-8283.
