(She/Her Pronouns)

Welcome to The Healing and Collective! Are you seeking to make changes in your life to achieve your goals and create a lifestyle that supports your personal aspirations? Are you looking for a therapist to support you along your journey? I am a therapist that has devoted my private practice to supporting racialized folks, students and individuals living with invisible disabilities.

My clients include:

  • Children
  • Youth
  • Adults
  • Individuals
  • Couples
  • Families

I am passionate about helping individuals no matter what social class they identify with, applying an anti-oppressive framework to enhance one’s self-worth and quality of life. It is important for me to advocate for social justice, develop integration plans, promote equity, and support individuals that are experiencing conflict with the criminal justice system. Together we can determine the right therapeutic approaches to achieve your goals.

My approach is client-centred, trauma-informed, non-judgmental, collaborative, strengths-based, and goal-oriented. I utilize cognitive-behavioural based interventions, incorporating various modalities such as Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Task Focus Therapy, System Therapy, Mindfulness, etc. It is essential for us to develop rapport, a sense of connection, and foster a space where you feel comfortable sharing.

My areas of focus:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Rejection
  • Stress Management
  • Low Self-Esteem
  • Isolation
  • Relationship Issues
  • Work or School Difficulties
  • Family Conflict
  • Grief or Loss
  • Trauma
  • Acquired Brain Injury & Intellectual Disabilities
  • Substance Use & Concurrent Disorder
  • Partner intimate violence issues
  • Domestic violence

My experiences working as a counsellor began in 2003. I have a Masters in Social Work and Diploma in Child and Youth Care. Currently I work within a social justice organization offering domestic violence counselling support to individuals impacted by partner violence. Outside of my career, I enjoy physical activity, cycling, swimming, yoga, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

I am available on Monday-Friday evening and offer a free 20-minute phone consultation. My rates are $130 hourly for individuals, and $165 for couples/families. I have a limited number of sliding scale spots available.
