Coming home to our bodies is sometimes fought with joy and pain. Experiences; such as, force migration, colonization, & slavery can often disconnect people from their inner wisdom. The disconnection can be the result of trauma, and thoughts of home can feel overwhelming. Home is not simply a place, but it’s our language; our culture; our ancestors; and spirituality. Our home helps us makes sense of the world around us, because we know who we are, despite what life challenges comes our way. In this interactive workshop, we will explore the concepts of home & collective care: through meditation; exploration of our voice; and somatic experiencing.
This workshop is design for Indigenous, black, and femme identities of colour to promote a safer healing space.
